Scott's 1979 Power Wagon
This is Scott's daily driver. It's a beauty! It is hard to find an old unmolested Dodge, but Scott did. It has a 360 motor, automatic transmission and the larger transfer case. It is the W150 model. It appears to be pretty stock, plus it has many factory options. Of those, it has bodyside molding, cargo light, A/C, woodgrain interior, vacuum and Volts gauges, tachometer (see pic below), power steering, built-in toolbox, and bucket seats. The bucket seats are not factory, but the center console is.
The 1979 Dodge W150 vin interpretation for Scott's truck is:
W = 4 wheel drive/conventional cab
1 = 100 series ½ ton
4 = Conv. Cab w/ sweptline, Hi Line Wagon (royal sportsman)
J = 6,000# - 8,500#
T = 360-1 4V V8
9 = 1979 series
C = Jefferson Assy Plant
119906 = serial number
Scott bought a brochure about the 1979 Dodges called "Adult Toys", and it has the Dodge Macho Power Wagon in it. He is hoping someone will have a similar truck and will contact him with more info about it. It is similar to the one used on the TV show Simon and Simon from the early eighties. Are you proud of your Dodge truck or car? Want to show it off? Please email me a pic along with a description of your vehicle and I will add it to the Gallery.
